Introducing solids & baby-led weaning @ Clubhouse
Coming up...
The introduction of solid foods is a window of opportunity to grow a healthy nutritional foundation for your baby. This is also a very vulnerable period for parents, as many questions, methods and opinions arise. When and how do I introduce solids? What are the advantages of purees? Why choose for ‘baby led weaning’ (Rapley-method)? What and how much
should my baby eat? And what about allergies, gut health and introduction schedules?
In this talk, registered dietitian Sofie De Niet will teach you all about the introduction of solids for your baby. She will give both theoretical and practical information, as well as parent-proof advice. The talk starts with the basics about starting with solid foods and what you can expect in terms of eating capacities throughout the first year of life, followed by an interactive Q&A to tackle all your concerns and questions. This way, you have the confidence to implement what learned at home.
The talk is suitable for parents who will start introducing solids in the near future, as well as newborn or future parents who like to be prepared well in advance. If you already started with solids, but you still have questions (for example about your child’s intake), you are also very welcome.
Sofie De Niet is a Brussels-based family dietitian for adults and children (sofiedeniet.be). Sofie wants to support your family’s eating patterns without nourishing diet culture. Her mission is to contribute to a healthy start of your little sprouts, to growing happy generations and to boost your energy levels.
