As you are aware, the current situation with the CoronaVirus/COVID-19 is becoming more of a concern to everybody. The WHO (World Health Organisation) has now classified it as pandemic.
Many companies and the EU institutions have taken ‘social distancing’ measures, such as cancelling meetings and events, encouraging staff to work from home, avoiding public transport, etc. The Belgian authorities are advising not to hold large gatherings.
This is a fast changing situation and is likely to evolve rapidly over the coming days and weeks. Due to these circumstances, the BCT Board has agreed to suspend BCT gatherings and social events for the next 2 weeks. The situation would then be reviewed at that time.
This decision is not taken lightly, but it is the BCT's priority to safeguard and respect the health and wellbeing of its members and of the community.
We ask that you please use your BCT online connections and remain connected, through our Facebook groups and WhatsApp groups, during this period. We are very much here for our members and will do what we can to help. You can also use these resources to share ideas on how to keep your kids entertained. If something works for you, why not share it with other parents who are also looking for ways to keep their kids busy?
We will re-assess the situation in the coming weeks dependent on the official advice.
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
