Support Groups

The BCT has several social and support networks, providing friendship, exchange of information and support to its members. All groups meet up on a regular basis and are welcoming new members at all times.

All groups are initiated and organised by members for members, so latest news and contact details for these groups are only available for members.

You are not a member yet but would like to find out more about one of these groups? Or you would like to set up a new Support Group? Then please contact the Groups Coordinator at

Parents of NICU babies

We are parents of babies who started there lives in the neonatal department and we want to start a BCT group for other parents who had to go home after the birth, without their baby.

Whether your baby was there for one day, one month or longer, had surgeries, spent time under the blue light or was there to grow, we want to provide a place to meet as often as we can to talk to each other with understanding and to support each other in the ongoing plight NOT to make comparisons with babies who had a healthy start!

Members please log in to see how to contact us if you are interested.

Parents with challenges

This new support group is for parents with disabilities & (chronic) illnesses. The aim of this group is to share ideas and helpful contacts among fellow parents, mothers and fathers alike.

Hopefully the group might not only be beneficial for the affected parent, but also for partners and even children whose mummies and daddies find it hard to cope with the circumstances.
