The BCT has several interest groups, providing entertainment, exchange of information or social contact for its members. Some groups are very large, listing dozens to hundreds of members, and some have only a handful of participants.

All groups meet up on a regular basis and are welcoming new members at all times.

All groups are initiated and organised by members for members, so latest news and contact details for these groups are only available for members.

You are not a member yet but would like to know more about one of these groups? Or you would like to set up a new Interest group? Then please contact the Groups Coordinator at

Engage with people who share your interests.

Belgian Schools Network

If your child is in a local Belgian, European or International school or you are considering sending your child to school soon, you are welcome to join our informal monthly coffee mornings. We discuss our experiences and share resources with other BCT members. The Belgian Schools Network also shares information on resources and activities directly or loosely connected with schooling and language.

Book Club

We are a bookclub interested in stories about women by women. Particular interested in mothers and families. Lots of the books in our current reading list are feminist literature. We discuss the characters in these books and it usually allows us to discuss our own challenges or successes as parents as we raise our children. You can join our what's app group for more updates, you can join every month, or as little as you'd like. You don't even have to read the book, maybe you'd just like to join and listen to the conversation.
We read one book a month, and our meetings usually take place last Friday of the month.
Please join us, share your story, ideas and book suggestions!

This group - open to all members - will see parents and children aged 0-4 come together once per month for a jovial music-filled get-together where babies and toddlers will be exposed to Croatian nursery rhymes, children's folk songs and their more modern equivalents. Children and parents will jointly sing, dance and play instruments to the Croatian music and they will be able to suggest their own songs and enrich the repertoire. The aim is for the Croatian rhythms to be more present in these children's lives and, of course, for everyone to have a good time!

Feminist parenting

This group aims to discuss our parent struggles, strategies, and concerns related to the stereotypes of sex and gender, social pressure to fit into binary boxes (pink for girls, blue for boys), hypersexualization of the kids, and other topics related to the contemporary Gender discussions. Our goal is to educate ourselves through readings and discussions, support each other, build a community, learn from others, and share our knowledge too. We are not experts on any particular subject but to love and care for our kids and ourselves.
