Our Pregnancy in Belgium information session is a 2.5 hours evening class designed for those pregnant or planning to have a baby in Belgium. It provides general information about the Belgian maternity system and will help expectant parents, especially those from abroad, to navigate it. This class is particularly helpful before or during the first half of pregnancy as it answers many of the questions that often arise when having a baby in Belgium. The session is open to BCT members and non-members alike and is led by the BCT’s highly qualified and experienced team of prenatal teachers.
The session covers:
- Choices for pregnancy care and place of birth
- Health and well-being during pregnancy
- Prenatal and postnatal support and resources available in Belgium
- Administrative aspects related to pregnancy
In addition, participants also receive a BCT booklet packed with lots of useful information on prenatal care, testing, clinics, physiotherapy, support services both in and outside the BCT, healthcare and childcare after the baby is born, plus practical information on insurance, maternity leave and registering your baby's birth.
